I am deeply honored to have received a second Spirit Animal Award Nomination; I take these kind acts of recognition by other bloggers very seriously and with gratitude. I was nominated by Miss Gentileschi at Secret Art Expedition   https://secretartexpedition.wordpress.com for this award.  Thank you so much!  If you have not seen her wonderful blog, please visit her.

The  rules of the award:

*Thank the blogger who nominated you, and link back to his/her blog.

*Post the award picture on your blog.

*Write a short paragraph about your blog and what it means to you.

*Answer this question: if you could be any animal, what would it be?

*Choose and notify ten nominees

What does my blog mean to me?

I have been writing this blog for a couple of years, and it has grown from simply being a small exploration of words and writing to a much larger look at many aspects of writing, life, and art. It also, however, has become a conduit or a place of  meeting with many people with whom I would never have had the opportunity to connect without the blogging world. Ideas are exchanged here, and I am humbled and grateful for that opportunity. For that connection, I am thankful.  And I thank all the people I have met, who follow me, and whom I follow.

What animal would I choose to be?

The first time I received  this nomination, I choose the wolf, because I have always felt a connection to those magnificent animals. I also have another connection, and that is to an eagle.  So, I choose an eagle as my spirit animal.

I am honored to have been nominated again for  this award.  Any time a blogger receives recognition from another blogger is important.  I thank Roo from https://roosruse.wordpress.com for this honor.  If you have not seen her blog, please visit it.

3.) Write a short paragraph about yourself and what your blog means to you.

4.) If you could be any animal, what would it be?

5.) Pick and notify ten nominees.

About me:

I am a writer and teacher, and I try to share my thoughts and experiences about both aspects of myself here.  I hope that what I write is both informing and entertaining.  I have found this blog to be a way not only to express myself but also to meet a wide variety of good and fascinating people.

My Spirit Animal:

I am going to take this opportunity to choose a second spirit animal. In the first award, I chose a wolf; this time I will choose the bald eagle.  I feel a great affinity for both animals.  This time I would like to identify with the beautiful birds that fly in the skies and view the world from a very different perspective.

A Little About Me And What My Blog Means To Me:

I am a writer who has come to writing later in life and a college teacher for several decades. I am committed to an exploration of life and ideas. Reading has always been a crucial part of who I am, and I am blessed with being able to share that love of books in both my classes and now through my blog.  I hope to be able to share the work that I am producing through my novel writing and to connect with others who are exploring and discussing their ideas.  I feel very lucky to have made contact with so many wonderful people through this blog.

If I Were A Spirit Animal, I Would Be:

a wolf. I had to think very hard about this choice, because I have a deep affinity with several animals, but the wolf is loyal, brave, and adventurous. I realize many are afraid of these animals, but wolves do get a bad reputation from various horror movies, including some I have enjoyed and reviewed.  The true nature of the wolf, however, is strong and admirable, so I am always moved when I see photos of these beautiful animals; therefore, I hope I would be a spirit wolf.
