“Read as much as you possibly can. Nothing will help you as much as reading.”
“There’s no formula.”
I have finally completed the first draft of Gallows Hill: The Investigative Paranormal Society Book 2. It is certainly not close to being ready to be put out into the world, but this step was essential.
I also have a plan of action for the revisions, which is something I did not have in my first book. I simply rewrote and made changes both major and minor as I went along. I hope with my focused revision process, I can lower significantly the number of drafts I will need. I am also hoping that I can still have this book out in time for Halloween! We will see.
On to draft 2!

I simply wanted to wish all writers a good writing day–today and always. I also hope you will have excellent production on whatever project you are tackling.
Never doubt your abilities, and work on getting your first drafts done. They will not be perfect, but you will then have material to revise.
Remember to try to write every day and read everyday.
In continuing my declarations of unofficial holidays, I am declaring today to be Happy Writing Day!
Whatever tools you use to write with, no matter your topic or idea, regardless of the genre, and despite the point in the process–planning, drafting, revising, or editing–, I wish you a productive, fulfilling, and joyful Writing Day!

This is a simple wish for a happy and productive writing day for all the writers out there!
So, Happy Writing Day! (This is an unofficial declaration!)
I thought this post would be a good one to reblog and revisit.

Hello to everyone. I am planning on doing a blog post tour in October for my horror novel Maledicus: Investigative Paranormal Society Book I. I will be setting the release date for the book soon, but it will probably be somewhere in the area of October 20.
The blog tour will probably run 2-3 weeks. I admit I should have this schedule set, but I am running a bit behind on some of the planning. But as an absent-minded professor, this fits me perfectly!
If you are interested in hosting a post on a particular day, or on any day from October 1 through October 20, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org . The subject is something we can discuss with some possibilities being discussions of how I wrote the book, interviews with questions you prefer or those I can write, interviews with the characters, or themes of the novel. I am certainly not limiting the subject matter; those are simply suggestions.
Here is a sneak peak at the tee-shirt for the book!
