There was a really interesting programme on Radio 4 recently that claimed if we continue under-valuing kindness as a society, we are ultimately doomed as a species – and they made a strong case for it:)

I agree that kindness is undervalued in our society, and we need to change that. Some think kindness show weakness, but I believe it is a form of strength, one that is deeply needed in our world.
