  1. I developed an appreciation for the oft-used Native phrase “Any day is a good day to die” — mostly because that phrase is so constantly misunderstood: it means you should live your life with no regrets, so that when fate lifts a hand, you are always ready to meet it.

    • Ah, that is an excellent point–too often this saying is used in bad action films, when it means as you say — “you should live your life with no regrets, so that when fate lifts a hand, you are always ready to meet it.” (Redding-Gonzalez)
